Flash certainly makes it easy to control the look and feel. I l prefer how your presence is setup with a blog and a 'portfolio' site. Gotta have a blog these days for SEO (etc.), but many people make a good point about the need for a 'professional-looking' site as opposed to simply the 'blog site'.
